Evolutionary Ecology. Life history evolution, age-specific patterns of reproduction and survival, especially origin of ageing and evolution of longevity. Costs of reproduction and immunocompetence. Sex allocation. Resource allocation models, dynamic programming models, computer simulations. Empirical work zebra finches in the lab and on the hole-nesting birds (Collared and Pied Flycatchers, Great and Blue Tits). Study areas: Gotland (Sweden), Niepołomice Forest (Poland).
